We are on the countdown for back to school. I'm thinking of what to pack in lunch boxes. I'm thinking of how to stay green with lunch gear. I'm thinking of getting my kids all the nutrients they need to power their brain for a day of learning. Green Your Lunch Gear
Annie’s Homegrown, Stonyfield YoKids, Honest Kids, and Seventh Generation have teamed up to help families toss their brown bags this back-to-school season by offering a free Kids Konserve lunch sack to four Food with Kid Appeal readers.
Winners will get a brown reusable canvas bag similar to the one pictured above. Inside are coupons for four free products from Annie's Homegrown, Stonyfield YoKids and Seventh Generation. It feels very sturdy, I think it would hold up to weekly washing. If your kids are like mine, lunch boxes often comes home messy. It's hard to remember to securely put the lid on the applesauce container every day when you're 5! It's roomier than a paper sack. Plenty of room for a sandwich, veggies, fruit and water bottle.
These re-useable lunch sacks are washable and made of recycled cotton and eliminate a great deal of waste that would otherwise occur from the use of daily paper or plastic lunch bags.
For more re-usable lunch gear including insulated lunch sacks and stainless steel containers, head on over to Kids Konserve.
