Halloween pizza party with veggie tray

If I have access to my kitchen and pizza is on the menu, I'm going to find a way to get some veggies in the meal plan. For our Halloween pizza party, I made a veggie tray with green beans, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, celery, purple cabbage and grape tomatoes. The boys, friends and relations are all out trick or treating and I'm looking at the veggie tray. It was destroyed!

My secret is blanching the fresh green beans and broccoli for 1 minute in boiling water, drain, then put in an ice bath. The ice bath stops the cooking process, so the broccoli and green beans are still super crunchy like everything on a veggie tray should be. New tonight was sliced purple cabbage. I wasn't sure how the cabbage would go over, but there are just a few shreds left! I suspect my husband was guilty of it's disappearance

The dip was sour cream and a packet of ranch dip seasonings. You can find the packet with the salad dressings at the grocery store. I had three people ask me for the recipe! I suspect it's so tasty because of artificial flavorings and gobs of sodium. Before my next veggie dip, I'll come up with a dip containing less additives.
